Your struggles

Do you struggle to feel good about yourself? Are you looking for a place where you can express how you really feel without being judged? Do you feel shut out at work? Do you wish you could experience satisfaction in intimate relationships? Are you wondering if you’ll always have to be alone with your suffering?

I am ready to listen, to sit with you as you explore your experiences, and support you in discovering who you are and what you want to become.

My goal is to help you discover what’s driving your emotions

My goal is to create a safe space where you can start to untangle your confusion and get to the root cause. My focus is on helping you make sense of your thoughts and feelings, experiences, and relationships. I take a psychodynamic approach, which creates a potential space where people can find new ways of thinking, generate new ways of behaving, and improve their understanding of themselves and others.

Working together

We might be a good fit if you:

  1. feel stuck in a rut.
  2. are held back by your anxiety.
  3. can’t seem to get past your depression.
  4. have trouble making or keeping relationships.
  5. need to develop new ways of dealing with stress.

I have a wide base of experience that includes helping people with issues related to:

  1. generalized or social anxiety.
  2. chronic depression.
  3. Impulsive, compulsive, or addictive behaviors.
  4. forming or maintaining relationships.
  5. trauma

My experience

In addition to my clinical training, I have a unique blend of education and experience in anthropology, nonprofits, business management, psychology, public affairs, and psychoanalysis – all with a focus on mental health and relational dynamics.

My previous experience includes helping people with issues related to HIV and hepatitis, high risk sexual behavior, drug and alcohol use, anger, and work-related problems.

I specialize in helping people understand their experiences with the systems they encounter – families, organizations, communities, institutions, and society.

Fees and insurance

Costs depend on each patient’s situation. The standard fee is $135/session. I do not accept insurance, but I will provide a superbill that patients may file with their insurance company for possible out of network reimbursement. An income-based, sliding scale fee schedule is available.
